One of the most known eatables for getting a better sleep is banana. Bananas contain valuable minerals like potassium and magnesium. These two items help the muscles to relax. Moreover, it contains L-tryptophan acid, also known as “sleep hormone”, which relaxes the brain. This natural muscle and brain relaxant will help a lot in letting you fall asleep. It is therefore suggested to eat at least 2 bananas before going to the bed.

Warm Milk:

A glass of warm milk before going to bed will let you sleep peacefully. Warm milk will increase your body’s internal temperature which will make you relaxed, calm, and drowsy. Milk plays an important role in solving a large number of problems. Try drinking a glass of warm milk before going to sleep, it will not only make you fall asleep but will also energize you for the entire night.

Rice:

This food is loved and eaten by almost everybody. Rice contains glycaemic index (GI) which is very much associated with a sound sleep. GI affects sleep because of the tryptophan, which helps in relaxing the brain and ultimately helps in falling asleep. It is highly recommended to have almonds everyday. As eating a couple of almonds every day helps a lot in solving different problems. If you don’t fall asleep easily, then you should probably develop a habit of eating almonds daily. A person lacking magnesium feels it difficult to fall asleep. Almonds are rich in calcium, zinc, iron, and magnesium, which are the natural muscle relaxant. This will make your body and mind relax enough to have a sound sleep Moreover, the blood sugar level is also stabilized by almonds letting your body enjoy a restful sleep.

Green Vegetables:

These vegetables are high in calcium, iron and magnesium, which helps prevent insomnia. You can eat these vegetables with salad or dinner to sleep well.

Other than these foods, there are several other items that can help with insomnia. Such as adding honey to a cup of warm milk or water before going to the bed. As well as having drinks like cherry juice and grape juice will also help a lot with sleeping issues. Moreover, eating walnuts along with almonds has also been a perfect remedy to prevent insomnia.
